About the Ned E. Baker Lecture Series
Cosponsored by the College of Health and Human Services at Bowling Green State University and the Cove Charitable Trusts of Boston, the series is available by webcast to more than 3,000 local boards of health throughout the nation. It is hoped that these annual public health lectures will provide local boards of health with an opportunity to celebrate Public Health Week locally and link with other boards throughout the country.
Ned Baker served for 12 years on the Wood County, Ohio, Board of Health, including two terms as its President. During 1991-92, Ned served as Chairman of the committee which founded NALBOH. Later, he was elected as NALBOH's first President. In 1995, he was appointed Executive Director and served in this position until his retirement in 1998.
